Dr Wong Yu Jun is Senior Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Changi General Hospital and Clinical Associate Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. A transplant-trained hepatologist, his expertise spans cirrhosis, portal hypertension, primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), and hepatitis C elimination. He serves on the AASLD Portal Hypertension SIG Steering Committee, editorial board member of Hepatology, and is a member of the Baveno Cooperation and GLOBAL PBC. He leads national and multinational studies in variceal bleeding, non-invasive risk stratification, PBC outcomes, and HCV micro-elimination, including prison-based care. He has authored over 150 publications in leading international journals, including Journal of Hepatology and Hepatology. His honours include the AASLD foundation awards (2022,2023,2024), 2026 GLOBAL PBC Emerging Scholar Award and the 2025 APASL-Hepatology International Best Paper Award for viral hepatitis research.
