Dr. Jing Chen, PhD (HKU), is a health services researcher specializing in health economic evaluation, disease modelling, and innovative healthcare delivery. Her research has informed hepatitis C treatment reimbursement in China, contributed to evidence supporting the FDA black box warning on HBV reactivation during HCV therapy, and advanced international hepatitis treatment guidelines. She is an active member of the APASL Viral Elimination Taskforce and co-first author of the 2026 APASL Clinical Practice Guidelines on the Management of Chronic Hepatitis B Infection. Her current research focuses on government-funded decentralized HBV care, industry-funded AI-assisted health monitoring, and university-funded digital health innovations to improve chronic disease management.
