Dr Penny Hey is a gastroenterologist and transplant hepatologist at Austin Health in Melbourne and Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne. She completed her PhD in 2024, focusing on clinical trials and interventions for sarcopenia in cirrhosis. Her clinical and research interests include cirrhosis, sarcopenia and frailty, liver transplantation and pregnancy in liver disease. She is actively involved in clinical research and research student supervision.
